You may not want to discuss this but I find it interesting and would like to talk to someone that has some experience with Remote Viewing.

The NSA uses remote viewing by hacking into your computer or phone's webcam and activating it without your knowledge. (Yes I know what the original programs were all about)

As for Stargate, being a fan of the TV series, I think most sci-fi series have some shred of reality woven into them.

I would recommend reading Psychic Warrior by David Morehouse, if you have not already done so. Parts of it are true, other parts, not so much.

I would also recommend reading the following:

Remote Viewers: The Secret History of America's Psychic Spies by Jim Schnabel

Reading the Enemy's Mind: Inside Star Gate America's Psychic Espionage Program by Paul H. Smith

The Ultimate Time Machine: A Remote Viewer's Perception of Time, and the Predictions for the New Millennium by Joseph McMoneagle

Memoirs of a Psychic Spy : The Remarkable Life of U.S. Government Remote Viewer 001 by Joseph McMoneagle

1.  I would be wary of what my conclusion would be after reading the books listed above. ALL OF THEM.

2.  Considering that a number of individuals related to this unit were dismissed for cause - such as security violations, theft, and other charges; most if not all, should not be trusted to give an accurate description. Most of it is self-promotion. Note also that not all of the individuals were charged or caught.

3. I will admit to knowing one or more of the individuals involved.

4. Note the following statement by Joe Nickell:  "Other evaluators-two psychologists from AIR assessed the potential intelligence-gathering usefulness of remote viewing. They concluded that the alleged psychic technique was of dubious value and lacked the concreteness and reliability necessary for it to be used as a basis for making decisions or taking action. The final report found “reason to suspect” that in “some well publicised cases of dramatic hits” the remote viewers might have had “substantially more background information” than might otherwise be apparent." Note the last sentence in the statement. Considering the background of the military personnel involved, this would be highly relevant.
