I have just submitted my warrant officer flight packet and awaiting the board in september. My ultimate goal is to fly the AH-6 little bird. What things should I be looking to achieve now to set myself up for success? I would love to drop an application to 160th as soon as flight school (should I get accepted) is over. Does anyone have any insight?

I question the efficacy of applying right out of flight school. They want the best pilots with great resumes.

This would have been my thought as well. I don't claim to know anything about the 160th, but given their Spec ops mission I would think that they would want a minimum number (like a couple thousand) of flight hours. Just a guess.

I dated a guy that was in the 160th he went ranger first then flight school, logged flight hours then applied and was accepted. I think the previous Ranger designation is what set him apart.
