I have decided I want to reclass from MSC to CA. I'm just not sure the best way to do it. AMEDD is currently allowing MSC officers to Branch transfer very easily until January 2023. However I still need to complete my CCC phase 2. Should I just do the branch transfer before January, or wait until I am done CCC. I am ready to be done with AMEDD but I would like to get the CCC done since I'm halfway through.

Doublecheck the requirements for reclassing as a 38A officer. They might require you go through the CCC as part of the reclassification (for example, if you were to relass to 90A, you are required to attend the CLC3 (Combined Logistics CCC) prior to receiving the 90A MOS.
Looking at the USACAPOC website, it only seems that completing a prior CCC will only get you out of 4 days (Phase 1) ... you'll still have a resident Phase 2/3 consisting of 11/14 (25 total) days at Ft. Bragg (or whatever they hell they change the name to).

I think 38G would be the way to go. It's probably promotion limiting but I believe it bypasses the harder parts of becoming 38A (like airborne)

From what your writing - my question to you would be can you branch transfer before you are branch quall'd if you stay in ARNG. Also - are you looking at transferring from the NG to USAR - or is it a NG CA billet you will be going for. If its a transfer to USAR - its getting unit to accept you - and branch to pay for resident phase. Inside the NG is an item not sure if it is Branch or if it is State and Branch that make that determination.

So its a couple of items for you to look up and research on your question - maybe not just one.
