How I can I request this after commissioning? I love framing my accomplishments and to be quite frank, it'll look pretty good in my home office. But all in all, it is something I'd like to have. Anyone have experience with this? As a direct commission, I don't have anyone really guiding me through this process. The only document that I've got so far is my DA 71.

Congrats on your first step of making an "I love me" wall.

While you may start out small with just your DD1, you'll eventually collect enough plaques, coins, and other memorabilia to fill a room!

Believe it or not, I have never seen a USA commission. Mine is AUS. I always heard USA DOR started after USMA grads, so ring bangers be senior, but surprised so long after. June to November.

I am a direct commission as well................

You should eventually get one in the mail. Eventually........ at the Army's own schedule.

The GOOD NEWS is you'll get it while your still a 2LT.

There is no rush in getting it....I was just curious but I'd like to have it for sure. Some of my buddies give me crap about it and Idk why lol they must not care for it too much I guess.

I’ve been an officer for over four year and never got one of these. How do you get it?

A 2ndLT for over 4 years? That seems unlikely.

I am scrolling for Captain, and I am in command. I just never received one of these when I commissioned four years ago. I see them frequently in offices of O6 and above. I think it would be nice to have.

I knew the ARNG was slow in promotions in relation to AD, but I seem to recall 36 months to First Lieutenant being the maximum time. Not sure what scrolling for Captain is. But good luck.
