RAM (Random Anti-Terrorism Measures) Detail is done every month in our unit. For about 7 days out of each month, at different times within a 24hrs period. Is it unfair for the same NCO to have this detail every month? Where in the AR may I find information concerning Soldiers and details, time, etc. (if there is). What are that Soldier's possible options?

Commands, much like electricity, will take the path of least resistance. They are going to use the most dependable, most reliable people because they know they will get the job done. If that's you, it means you're going to be an exploited asset. It's what I've come to call "the price of competence".

"....will ensure that commanders establish standard operating procedures to ensure the equitable assignment of duty and accurately track performance."
Every 1SG, at a minimum, should know this. It will prevent IG complaints and a bad command climate.

1SG,
Thank you for that reference point. Has to be the shortest AR I have ever had the pleasure of reading.
Perhaps you can give me some insight on Para 5b.:
"DA Form 6 will contain the names of only those Soldiers required to perform the duty involved."
I know with CQ and CQ runner E5 and E6 are the CQ and E4 and below are the runner normally, but what defines "Soldiers required to perform?"

It's subjective. For instance, I have my pilots pull CP guard duty during the night shift and they are all listed on the DA6. Once they make pilot in command I removed them from the DA6 because they are needed elsewhere now. Our SOP states that only pilots will pull CP guard duty during the night and enlisted crewchiefs during the day. Your SOP should dictate who pulls what duty and that will be tracked on the DA6 to ensure fairness and equality. Hope that makes sense.

SSG Parra,
There is no regulation that prevents the same soldier from being picked for any detail. If you feel that the soldier is being picked because of Race, Color, Gender, etc. either positively or negatively then it is an EO/SHARP violation and that can be found in AR 600-20. If you feel that the soldier is being chosen as reprisal for an incident then it is an issue to bring up with your IG. If you feel they are being chosen as a part of an "initiation" then it is Hazing and also covered by AR 600-20.
