SFC (Join to see) Common sense should have prevailed. What were they thinking? You know there will be a sea of confederate flags showing up on race day. Are they going to take them away at the door or advise them they can't bring them in? Wow, there go ticket and concession sales! Left over beer! All kidding aside this issue needs to leave the news and take a back seat to real issues that face this nation (welfare, balancing the budget, terrorist threats, unemployment, murder casued by racistm, and the list goes on)!

Talk about diverse.. we have women, spanish speaking like Abreu above and we love minorities at the tracks and encourage them all the time..

COL Mikel J. Burroughs: Actually, I agree - this is such a minor issue, but everyone is all up in arms over stupid stuff. It's like America has lost all common sense and ability to think beyond the current hot topic (which lasts all of about a day) and then it's on to the next! I only brought this up, because I really do think NASCAR is making a mistake with this - not because the flags should or should not be banned, but because I'm betting most of the fans are either going to bring the flags anyway, or boycott.

I think NASCAR should prepare themselves for a sea of Army of Northern Virginia battle flags being waved around.
