Have we won the hearts and minds of Iraqis and Afghans?

One of the tenets of COIN is winning the hearts and minds of the indigenous people. Do you think we have achieved that? I think there is more at play like religious affiliation, tribal loyalty, deference to warlords, those who profit from the government, and eternal hatred.

Only one thing wins the hearts and minds of Iraqis and Afghans......MONEY.......it's that simple.....whoever is paying the most they love the most.
