I am currently an infantryman at NTC with 1 year experience.
I enlisted to attain my citizenship and then commission as an officer.
My credentials:
B.S. Computer Science 3.78 GPA.
2 years software/data engineering experience
Any additional advice appreciated.

Does it matter what your chances are? Are you going to change your mind if someone tells you your chances suck?
Put your packet in and stop worrying about other people's opinions

Also, let me mention that the Army does Direct Commission Cyber Officers these days. Not a lot of slots, but your GPS and work experience may give you a shot at commissioning that way.

SPC (Join to see) - If that's your goal, my advice is to drop your packet. I will also tell you that OCS is not fun and I detested all my TAC Officers. I still ended up tied for top student. Just put your head down and soldier on.

US Citizenship is required in all of the Services. Other than that, look at each Service's website to determine the requirements for commissioning. They are all similar, but not necessarily identical. If you meet all the basic requirements for citizenship, education, physical fitness, etc., then talk with your unit retention NCO about enlisted-to-officer programs in your Service. If you want to consider other Services, then talk to recruiters from those Services.
Your opportunity go get into any commissioning program is based on many factors. First, you must meet the minimum requirements. Beyond that, it largely depends on your match to the needs of that Service.
