Stripes is on my short list (top three favorited movies). It is a great movie to watch when you are in a bad mood. Hard to be in bad mood after watching Stripes. When I was a young Sergeant/Section Leader, I had a dude who was a mess, and whenever I tried to counsel him, he would respond (in character) with a line from Stripes or Caddy Shack...

I have the movie and I am never tired of watching it. My canadians buddies at work all love it too. Don Rickles, I believe, is still alive and joking around in his 90s in Las Vegas
