A navy corpsman diagnosed me with anxiety after one question, that being “do you feel anxious right now”. Now that is causing problems trying to get my job in the airforce because they think I have anxiety, after I’ve already given them paperwork from a psychiatrist saying the opposite, what can I do?

Enlisted Medical Personnel are not authorized to diagnose. That is for a qualified and certified medical provider.....in other words, a doctor. Did you not finish the medical process where you end up sitting down and talking with a doctor at MEPS?

It makes me wonder how we get anyone through IET anymore. "Are you anxious right now?". Let's see, I'm committing to a huge lifestyle change that I really don't understand yet, just spent all day getting poked and prodded with a bunch of people that feel just like you do and herded around like cattle. Yes, you should feel anxious if you are normal.
In Basic and feeling a bit depressed? I'm living with strangers, guys in big hats are yelling at me all the time, I've had 8 hours sleep in 3 days and I'm doing PT in the rain at 4 AM. Yes, it's OK if you find that a bit depressing.

Something seems off because that's not even how diagnoses work. When were you in the Navy? A corpsman can't diagnose anyone.

I'm thinking they meant a Corpsman at MEPS in the Medical Section. That's the only thing that makes sense
