So I’m starting my warrant packet for a 151A and on the check list it has “submit all 1059s” so I go to my IPERMS and my ALC 1059 is not there. I call the school house in Fort Eustis and they said they don’t keep records longer than 2 years ( I finished ALC in 2019) I even contacted HRC at Fort Knox and they told me to get with my school house. I told them the situation and they stopped responding to me. The only evidence I have is on my SRB where it says “ completed ALC 2019. Does anybody know how I can recover my 1059?

I work at a school that produces 1059s. This does happen from time to time. 1059s use EES and it isn't always the most reliable. There are a bunch of other reasons why it wouldn't work. But the school is correct. They don't have to maintain records beyond 2 years. The only way to get one is to look on your ATRRS record. You can view by looking at your Joint Transcript at https://jst.doded.mil. I can see when I went to PLDC back in 2004. When a course is complete the system will require them to close out the class with a result. You should see the dates of your class. With that you need to contact their ATRRS manager and view and validate the course. Your unit should also be able to do if they can view your ATRRS record. Once you have validation that you graduated the course you need to notify them that they did not produce a DA 1059. By AR 623–3, you were required to sign a copy of the 1059 before they uploaded it. If they didn't then the school house is wrong. The school can recreate the 1059 and manually upload through EES. It takes about 3 to 5 days for it to show up in your Iperms. That is the only way to proceed forward. If the school fails to assist you I would then have your leadership reach out and warn them of the requirement for a 1059 in AR 623-3. I have recreated dozens.

Thank you for the information, I’m currently deployed right and I’m going to check my files when I get back to the states just to verify. In the case that I don’t have it what would a recreated 1059 look like? Would it have a negative comment on it or something to that extent?

SSG (Join to see) - I looked in ERS and I didn't see a DA 1059 in your records. In ERS I can view all evaluations, including 1059s. If you go to Army Pubs you can see what a DA Form 1059 would look like. When they recreate it would be a "met standards." In reality, very few organizations use 1059s as a means to evaluate a Soldier.

Is there some type of regulation on recreating a 1059? The SMG at school house said he couldn’t do but didn’t give a reason on why he couldn’t do it.

***Update ***

I recently got home from a deployment and sadly I didn’t have my 1059 from the school house at my house. So since mid August my 1SG has been in contact with the school house SGM, and they been going back and forth on how to recreate 1059 .Today my 1SG told me that the SMG at the school house said he is not able to recreate the 1059 and sends my 1SG AR 623-3?? (Requests for the issuance of missing evaluation statements addressed to the approval authority and signed by the unit commander, BN/BDE S1, or administrative office may be scanned and emailed to the Evaluation Appeals Office. State clearly in the subject line of the email that a request for issuance of a missing evaluation statement is attached. Upon receipt, the request will be redirected to the appropriate action officer. To mail requests, address them to HRC (AHRC–PDV–EA) (see app F). Again, each request will be adjudicated on a case-by-case basis.) My 1SG said give it a couple of more days to see if the SMG comes up with anything new but if not I guess I’m going to have to submit some sort appeal to “Evaluation Appeals Office”

It’s been 3 years and I don’t recall them giving me a hard copy of my 1059.
