Tennessee will put the "Veteran" status on the drivers license but not the branch of the military you served. To get the "Veteran" it put on you have to produce you DD214. The V.A. Medical card isn't enough alone. We do have a license plate with your branch.

SGM Mikel Dawson - I have the Veteran status on my license. When I renewed last year at the office they said that is all they put on.

In Washington State you can have Veteran put on your license but not which branch. But you can get veteran and branch license plates.

MSgt (Join to see) That's Tennessee also. Only the plate has the branch and Veteran on it.

CA does it as well, but the hurdles to do so are rather high. We'd have to go to the VA to have the DMV form validated, and then go back to the DMV to execute the action. Walking in the DMV with my military ID is insufficient.
So............. screw it.

Sorry to hear that. IIRC, Oklahoma just needed my Retired ID card, but I may have had my DD-214 available as well, since I keep a digital copy in my email.

Are not most things in California a bureaucratic nightmare? Honestly makes navigating S1 and JAG seem easy in comparison.
