Have you had to bury a WWll veteran, who happens to be a family member?

We were notified on 05/27/15, that my brother-in-law, had passed away. We traveled to Southern California, for the funeral. He was a tail gunner in the Army Air Corps, and transitioned into the newly formed Air Force in 1947. He was my big brother, whom I admired, and loved. He loved the military, and served proudly. He was buried with military honors. I will miss those deep conversations we used to have, with respect to his stint, his close calls, and the disarray of Germany following the end of the war. I will miss him greatly.

My Grandfather. He was in the infantry, he got frostbite and was hospitalized 3 days before the Battle of the Bulge.

My favorite Uncle, landed on Omaha as a PFC crossed the Rhine as 1Sgt. I think I was the only one he ever talked to about it all.

Two uncles serve in the US Navy. I don't think we'll see another generation as great as that one. Thank you for your service. Blessing
