Does a counseling for recommended UCMJ action have to be open or closed out before giving it to the Commander for review?

Excuse me, but in all my years I never saw a block to check off or sign off to "close a counseling! Once it's signed and dated, you normally you just have the PSG/Lt, review it and pass it onto the CO

It's been there for a while, SGM. I think since around 2000. It's the last block on the counseling form. Front side is what happened, including what you talked about. Top of back side is the plan of action discussing how to fix deficiencies, improve strengths even further, or sustain excellence.
Then you are supposed to come back later and evaluate if the plan of action worked. This "closes out" the counseling form.

And how would you close out a counseling that recommends UCMJ? Since this would fall under Event Oriented, a close out isn't really needed

MSG (Join to see) you are amazing SFC ill fight it but their is so much thats goes into this, it was less then a weeks time for everything thank you so much for the advice I have off Monday but will try to get all my resources done on that day I have until Wednesday they gave me 48 hours.

follow the protocol .. follow the regs .. do all research then be a very good decision maker in what is needed to be done
