Are you required to use a format that is given for accountability on your personal cell phone?

If you aren't required to have a personal cell phone or download an app on your personal phone then when sending an accountability text up for you and your soldier, is it required to be a certain format you were told to use? Is it appropriate for them to give counselings over how a message is sent? For example they were told by one Sargeant to do: SGT GEE: GTG / (where ever we are going) But another SFC said to send: SGT Gee: G2G / (where ever we are going) while someone sent: SGT Gee: Good to go / (where ever we are going).?

While not required to have a cell and not required to download apps on your civilian phone.....format for comms can be dictated for ease of understanding the message(s) sent.
Now, a counseling is merely a written conversation between two parties based on a particular subject. If said Counseling said to send message as "PVT Snuffee/GTG/En Route to DFAC" then that is the format one uses. That being said...if someone in the Leadership wants to be that attention to detail and get ruffled because someone spelled out Good To Go instead of GTG or even ruffled because someone used G2G...then that person has a bit too much time on their hands....but I digress......then just use the format that is required/wanted. That being said...if Accountability is being routed thru your NCOs and that eventually the PSG is submitting accountability to the higher ups....then it doesn't really matter (or rather, it shouldn't) what format you use if you are only reporting your accountability to your FLL.

If the CoC directed the format for official use then use the correct one. Would I counsel someone on it, no. It is not on an official doc so what’s the beef.

Im not really good with words sir I have explained myself on why I personally write things out and I have seen other soldier that haven't even placed the formats on there and just say SGT Gee - CCNA, but they tell me that it would be favorable actions if they allow me to not use the format correctly and I know for a fact the other person wasn't given a counseling for it. Its not in any army document of reading anything but I guess they are trying to make an example of me or something.
