I'm from Fort Hood (III corps)and was just wondering how many days I get to clear for ETS. I currently have 60 days of ETS leave and get back from NTC with a little over a week to clear. I was just curious If that'd be enough time to clear. My chain of command is telling me I should take less leave days and sell the remainder if i think I'd need more days to clear. Thank you!

10 days to clear is all that’s really needed

7-10 days is usually the amount to clear. Why can't you clear in 7 days? I don't know how it is at Hood but I think any Army base I've been at most everything was already pre-cleared. The only thing that took the longest was when I PCSed Fort Lewis in 09 I had to clear like I was ETSing because I was going to Meade. That took 2 days because they kicked stuff back. Otherwise I don't think it took me long to clear. Maybe a couple days but I stretched it out to take more probably.

I actually depends on what the Post says, since CCF, housing, etc., fall under the Garrison Commander. I've seen chapters do it in 5-7 days. Then I've seen some milk it for all their worth and take dang near a month.
