I am a first year MBA Candidate at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. This summer I will be interning with PwC in their Atlanta office located in midtown near Peachtree St NE and 12th. I am not at all familiar with the Atlanta area and was hoping that I could get some advice on the area in general and specifically housing. My biggest problem is that I will only be there from mid-June to Mid-Aug. Any information would help.

Late reply, but hope this advice is helpful for others in similar situation. During my summer internship also way back in 2014, I sub-leased an apartment. I was in San Diego, California and found an ad on Craigslist. I lived in a deployed USMC Reserve NCO's place while he was in Afghanistan. While some of my peers were living in communal housing, I had a one bedroom place all to myself. For future summer internships, Craigslist can be a place to find temporary housing.

Renting is best if you are only going to be there a short time. Since you will be a student, an apartment would be best so that you don't have to worry about yard work. I always prefer places with a good security gate so I sleep peacefully at night. I also like complexes with a pool and a gym so I can work out. Some place near the office so that you can walk to work will save you gas and keep you in shape.
