Before the GWOT in Europe our military equipment was painted with woodland camo. Recent news reports and videos show Russian equipment painted dark green but US equipment is desert tan? Even the equipment that has been deployed in Eastern Europe for some time. So who has the right solution here?

Field Grade Commanders used to camouflage according to environment.
It was called 'Leadership'.

Alas we don’t have white in the pallet… the experts say woodland is what you want in the winter… most trees in Europe are conifers (evergreen).

Look, during DS1 and DS2, everyone painted their equipment for the desert. VII Corps was rotated in and out of the desert. It takes some time to repaint battalions of vehicles.

So….1991 to 2003 ok but it 2022? We repainted an entire Cav squadron in a week … but we were soldiers once…
