My Husband and I have been trying to apply for Joint Domicile for the past month. We are both heading to Camp Humphreys Korea, We have a 4187 that has been signed form my Co CDR, BN CDR and my BDE CDR. It has been sent to HRC but that came to a dead end. I have talked with my local MPD but they say they have no part in it. I have contacted my branch manger but as well has said they have no part in the process. I just find it so hard to believe that no one know the process for Joint Domicile. Anyone who has gone through the process or know the process can please tell me on what to do?

Contact the S1 of your gaining unit to see that you can both be pulled in together. You may be MACP but you're both on an unaccompanied tour. If you don't have dependents then you don't qualify for an accompanied tour, meaning you can both be stationed separately in Korea. So, contact the S1 or MPD there to see that you both end up together first

So I went through this exact situation. If you want to PM me feel free. I re enlisted for Korea and assumed JD wouldn’t be a hassle, and it was a nightmare. Every person tells you to talk to someone else. First, reach out to MPD in Korea and your gaining units. You need a 4787 sent from your losing MPD to the gaining MPD. Losing MPD will try to tell you they can’t do it, but there’s literally a section that says “if dual military applying for JD fill out here”.
I reached out to a specific person in Korea at MPD and he was very helpful at helping me get my JD approved.
It took a few months, but once approved we were able to be in Korea two years and send our HHG. Just be aware that once you get it approved you still are not authorized to ship POV, but you can buy one here.
Do not let anyone tell you to wait to apply once you get to Korea. It’s a nightmare and I do not know anyone that has been successful.

Are you already in Korea? If it says JD once you get here you can go to MPD and get them to amend your deros to state two years. SGT (Join to see)

I don’t have dependents. Once you have JD you should be able to schedule everything to send HHG to Korea etc. you can have them amend your deros once here. SGT (Join to see)

In accordance with AR 614-200 Section IV, enrollment in the MACP does not guarantee reassignment together but does ensure that both Soldiers will be automatically considered for future joint-domicile assignments. Soldiers should submit a DA Form 4187 requesting enrollment in the MACP, with a copy of their marriage certificate to their Bde S-1/BCT or MPD who will take the necessary action to update to the Total Army Personnel Data Base (TAPDB).

His issue is that Korea is an unaccompanied tour, so you have two MACP people on unaccompanied tours.
