Hello everyone, I hope all is still well. My question for today is to the 25V’s of the Army and veterans that served in this MOS. Someone once suggested this career to me when they knew of my interest in film, but I couldn’t help but see this as a job more for a journalist that recorded things. If my original assumptions are wrong, then my questions are as follows:
1. Other than filming/photography and editing, what other jobs do you do and do you or someone else do the directing, talking points, screenwriting/planning, etc.?
2. How likely are you to get into the film/television industry with this MOS on your resume?
3. Any other MOS that you recommend that would make it easier than this one for someone to be able to get a foothold into the film industry?

Why even contribute to this discussion when you don't even actually READ my posts? Just so you know, I don't float that way, so you're trying to impress the wrong person here. Bro, why don't you actually do something productive for once. Your MOS states "Career Counselor", why don't you actually do job for once.
As for you SGT Wagner, never really had any issue with you, don't know what yours is with me.

Jake Lang - 1. The anonymous person you are talking to is in fact a verified service member that not only does his job, but excels at it. He is anonymous to not verified persons for a reason.... 2. No issue, you have posted a lot of times on here (RP) asking questions about jobs that you seem to be interested in for a short period of time and it seems you have done little to no research on your own. You will find in the Army, those that want something make it happen for themselves.
Honestly no one person is going to be able to tell you what you will experience in an MOS. I have been a 12B for a long time, been in several units and every other 12B I talked to tells me how they do it different and how their unit is attached to another so they have a different mission. I am not sure what is keeping you from just enlisting and making a choice but you have been on here asking for a while now ... just take the jump and do it all ready

Career Counselors counsel people who are already in the Army, not "potential recruits". Since you've never actually joined a branch of service I wouldn't expect you to actually know what my job is. Given you long pist history of questions being all over the place, I'm sure I'll be retired long before you ever join and won't get the chance to "do my job" Career Counseling you

Jake Lang - They tell you that because they wish they would have asked more questions prior to their enlistment. But that is all you do, ask questions... just go for it man! Pick an MOS and sign up! Worst thing that happens is it was not what you thought it would be, and you either ETS at the end of your contract or you reclass. The Army is what you make of it... I know 20 year cooks that loved every minute of it and I know 4 year infantry vets that hated every minute of it.... There is plenty of information to make a decision on an MOS... when I enlisted the first time all I had was a cheap ass VHS Tape about being all I could be... No one is throwing hate your way, knock that chip off your shoulder bud... Best of luck!
