Due to the nature of the recent hacking at OPM, it is very likely that active and former military members will be exposed to more believable attempts to draw information from them. Hackers might have some information that are valid and this will make the unsuspecting person likely to trust them. It is advised that members take advantage of free credit monitoring services and identity theft insurance provided by OPM.

Rallypointers - If you use family member information (maiden names, middle names, etc.) or places you've lived as banking passwords, think about changing them! Also, notify your families that their SSN's could be compromised as well.
