Let's say you got elected somehow, to serve as the United States President. What's the very first thing you would attempt to do to improve this nation? Got any fresh ideas?

Executive Order to create term limits for the Senate and House of Reps. Because, if it is good enough for the goose, then it is good enough for the gander.

This is a great idea that should be done but, unfortunately, it will take a Constitutional Amendment which Congress will never consider since they would be voting themselves out of a job.

MSG (Join to see) While a good idea, an EO such as that would prove unenforceable. You'd lose that fight at the Supreme Court almost immediately. Rather, you should propose a STRICTLY LIMITED Constitutional Convention of the States (per Article V) to consider and propose a Constitutional Amendment that imposes your term limits. Your proposal should ensure that you chair the Convention as the presiding official to keep it from going off the rails.

Additionally, I recommend adding these specific provisions as clauses to your amendment:

1) No Senator shall serve more than two six-year terms in office. No Representative shall serve more than four two-year terms. No personal elected and/or appointed to a position under Article I shall perform more than sixteen years total combined service as a Senator and Representative (e.g. two terms as a Senator and two terms as a Representative, etc.).

2) Repeal Amendment XVII and return the power to appoint Senators by the States' Legislative Branches in order to return power to the States as originally intended.

3) Classify all elected Article I officials and their staff as employees of their respective State Governments. All payroll, benefits, and expenses of these Article I officials and their staff shall be funded as State budget expenditures rather than Federal Budget expenditures. This grants further power to the States and the People over their elected officials and shields us all from abuses of power.

Direct the “Justice Department” to start charging ALL involved with the illegal activities of the FBI, DEA, CIA, etc….. it’s a pipe dream, but have to start somewhere to clean up the corruption!

Reopen Ellis Island and require all immigrants to register there (or somewhere like it) prior to being allowed to work. Issue a biometrics card that is very difficult to forge and require it for employment as a non-citizen. Fine heavily any business/ entity that disregards this rule and is found with undocumented workers. Require that this card be presented for any government benefits or non-emergency hospital visits.
Sit back and watch the magic happen.

SGM Robert Moore - I'm sorry you feel that way especially since you are 100% incorrect. Look at what he accomplished during his four years in office and compare that to the treasonous behavior of Obama and Biden. Many people are offended by Trump's supercilious attitude and improper remarks and ignore the best four years our country ever had. Here's something for you to think about. If you were President, and you were losing a war, would you ever appoint a drunk to command your army? Most people would say no but not Abraham Lincoln. After many generals failed in winning the Civil War, Lincoln put Ulysses S. Grant, a known drunk, in charge of the Union Army and he won the war. Judge people by their actions and accomplishments and not by some words they use that you might find offensive.

CPL Jason Northedge - According to Black's Law Dictionary, It is the encroachment upon the rights of others. Theoretically by coming into the country by illegal crossing and receiving any benefits without proper documentation would fall under Law's definition due to the fact it's taking money from those who are citizens that qualify for the programs intended for them. Please forgive me if I'm misunderstanding what's being said her.

Sgt Peter McLaughlin sorry but I'm gonna have to disagree. Black's says The key qualification is the invader's willingness and ability to commit hostile acts.
Look no one has an open border but yes too many undocumented come across and needs to stop everyone agrees to that it's how u get to that point is what makes the difference. Dems tried to stop it but gop stopped the bill. So everyone is to blame.

Thank you for your insight. It is true that invasions are done through/by hostility. I also agree that there is a wide scope of blame.

Since trump it's been open season. I retired after 38yrs and NONE of my bosses (O6/7/8 bosses) would put up with your comment.
