What is required of an enlisted soldier who wishes to pursue a commission through West Point? How can I determine if I qualify?

With the goal of earning a commission someday, you’ll definitely want to learn how to do preliminary research yourself. Nothing wrong with asking questions, but try to make those questions as informed as possible. Best of luck with your endeavors.

Kyle - Ever have cancer? Know what questions to ask, know where to find the answers? No, you don’t, no family does until they end up in that situation. Maybe the young troop, simply does not know the correct question(s) to ask… He has taken the first step, by asking for Leaderships help in his research quest, “Where do I look?” How about going above and beyond by providing him with the informative verses, “Try to make those as informed as possible” as an answer.
Blind - leading the blind here… Be a Leader - Point him in the right direction! Every soldier needs it sometime. Just saying! Good day kind Sir and thank you for your service.

SGT Jim Ramge, MBA appreciate your advice...but a big part of being an officer is learning how to find answers yourself. I stand by my advice that I provided and thank you for yours.

CPT (Join to see) Kyle - Maybe this is his chance to excel! Some need, some don’t… And do, always stand by your word, right or wrong. That, your handshake and signature are the only thing that are yours - Your Bond Brother! ;-) All the best!

If you don't feel your academics are strong enough -- be sure to look into the USMA Preparatory School. That route will get your numbers up and also give you a feel for scholastic life, while maintaining your current active duty paycheck -- CO '93 --
