Hi
Here's my situation,
The company is fall under is located on one base and my battalion is located on another base. Lately, we've been having accountability formation at battalion then going back to our place of duty to work. There's days where I would drive to battalion for 0630 formation, go back to my original place of duty to work then return to battalion for 1300 formation. There's also days where we go back and forth between bases during one duty day. I have a couple questions related to the situation above:

1 Is this type of travel tax deductible?
2 can I take military action to help tame this work culture?

I've been logging my drives using an app. I decided to reach out because the amount of gas I'm using is ridiculous.

Commuting between your home and company is not tax deductible.
Driving between your company and BN is tax deductible.
If it's over 50 miles one way, it is reimbursable.
