Hello fellow Vets, I live in Washington State and they are automatically putting everybody and their mother on this long-term care tax. If you are a vet with a hundo (asking for a friend) are we exempt if we get a part-timer? Doesn't the hundo vet care long-term care anyways so is the State of Washington being lazy and just clumping everyone together not doing their due diligence? My friend is worried that if he gets a part-time job checking receipts at your mom's house that he will get taxed when there is no need for him too, not FICA either its the long-term tax care tax that I am asking about, for a friend. thanks in advanced

SPC Julio R. Sorry I can't answer your question but the way I see it is this is another insane way to hit people with more taxes, as if they don't already have enough. I think you need to contact the state and ask them so you get an more accurate answer than you may on here.
