Why do Medical MOS personnel have a medical symbol on their CAC, other MOS branches don’t?

And during the Vietnam Conflict field medics were differentiated from other squad members and were the second fatal target. The radioman is the 1st. The ranking member is the 3rd.

Makes sense; cut of comms, cut off the one sustaining them in the fight, cut off the head. Of course we encourage our subordinates to take the appropriate action as they see it on the ground in the absence of orders whereas other militaries don't.

PFC (Join to see) Most medical personnel are considered non-combantants and should be easily distinguished from other members. Of course this also lends to easily being taken out by the enimy.

When I was sent to Desert Storm our command wanted us to wear the red cross on white arm band. We as a unit (Field Hospital ) refused from the CO down to the HN.

I saw a medic crawling on the ground in the middle of the night calling his friends name. So sad.

Question makes no sense. Med MOS's have the time immortal Caduceus cause they are medical. INF-crossed rifles, FA crossed cannon, ADA- Crossed cannon w/missile, etc.. It would be silly for the Queen of Battle to have it on their CAC, what we will heal you after we kill you?
