This Marine is being denied a transfer to the new VA facility near children because he does not have the 6 months of residency in California, even though he only left California because there was no VA facility near him at the time.
What is RP's thoughts?

Oh, this is just jacked up! I know a guy in the Secretary's Office at the Minnesota Department of Veteran's Affairs. I'm going to get in touch with him on this!

Incidental to this story, one of our local (Minneapolis/St. Paul) news stations did a special segment on this gentleman on Memorial Day as he is one of Minnesota's last living Pearl Harbor survivors. This man is very lucid, very articulate, and he discussed his hopes of moving soon to California so that he may be closer to his family and spend his remaining days with his loved ones. If I can find the clip, I'll share it.

Okay, I just sent this in to Bill O'Reilly. He likes Veteran's issues; let's see if he bites on this one...
