My wife heard from a military relative that the Army will move you once a year. I have never heard of this and found nothing on any military website. Even ask several NCOs in my company. We are trying to move into a new house in the same city.

Can I have the Army move my stuff once a year even if it’s not a PCS? | RallyPoint
So, someone keeps telling me I can have the military move my stuff free of charge once a year like a PCS move. I have never heard of this. I am planning to PCS to Korea in January but thought maybe to move my family back to Colorado early so we can buy a house. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I was moved from off base housing at Ft. Stewart to base housing. It when privatized housing was new at Stewart and the housing wasn't the newer stuff. So I think the privatized housing company probably paid for our move. I didn't give a shit who was paying for it as long as I wasn't.
