Live fire exercises are already too loud. Why the hell would you want to AMPLIFY it? Make hearing loss go even quicker?

They are amplifiers that are basically ear muffs with a microphone that has a circuit that attenuates impulse noise such as gun fire to protect hearing, but when not firing they amplify speech so you can hear people on the range. Wonderful for ROs to have.

Peltor hands down. Kind of pricey, but well worth it. Most of their ear pro fits under a helmet pretty well, but they make a couple that are designed specifically for under an ACH.

I also have used Peltor and they are very good. Less expensive than MSA Sordin, which I prefer, but if the MSA Sordin is too expensive, Peltor will do the trick

Peltors unless TCAPS are available. If neither are available then combat plugs.
