I'm honestly hoping that I don't ever own one LOL. I have like 5 or so different uniforms already and my house looks like a Military Surplus store!

You hit the nail squarely on the head CPT Bruce Rodgers. I think the branches can take the funds they are using to come up with new uniforms and place them into some other programs like reintegration, employment assistance, mental health care, and so many others.

Why change over to the new uniform when the ones we have don't expire till 2019?

Exactly what I'm thinking, I'm ok with what I have now and don't see the need to spend on uniforms until it becomes mandatory and by then hopefully my unit is starting to issue them.
