When going TDY en route, how soon can I expect to get my PCS Orders and will I be able to take leave and move my family before school?

I am currently stationed in Hawaii. I have a locked in school date for CID School next year. I was told it would be TDY en route. This is my first experience with TDY en route. How soon can I expect to get my PCS Orders and will I be able to take leave and move my family before going to school?

You should receive assignment instructions no later than 90 days before your school start date. Make sure your EFMP is updated prior to that or your follow on assignment will be Korea. If you don't receive an assignment 90 days prior then see your Career Counselor to request one

Why don't you just ask your personnel office? After all, they are the folks who will issue those orders.
