I am on the PDRL currently, was placed on it during height of COVID 19 under odd circumstances ( lack of evaluation, use of VA records but not carefully reviewed). Tried to fight it but was coerced by navy med board lawyers into accepting due to likely hood I would be fighting the findings for 7+ years out of pocket.
My question is how do I get off of PDRL to continue serving ? I know I can apply for a discharge upgrade but was curious if anyone has any experience with this process and what it takes to get the discharge upgrade?
Since I have proof of conflicting feedback and proof there findings are based on false info, is this enough to win? Or will they ultimately base it off of if they “feel” like upgrading me?
Any feedback is high appreciated!

Somebody lied to you. You could have challenged your MEB findings and could have gone to DC for an appeals hearing in front of the Board Members. Majority of the Marines/Sailors I know who appealed didn't pay for an attorney. They presented their case and most of them were able to shed light on their case and achieve what they desired without paying out of pocket. You were within your rights to challenge the findings and appeal through your PEBLO. I recommend getting together with a veteran advocate either through your county, State or your an organization that sponsors VSO's.
