How can I get around having to pay back my initial enlistment bonus if I reenlist early to reclassify?

Trying to reclass, but finance wants me to pay nearly $14 per day of my initial enlistment bonus back for every day I reenlist before my initial ETS date. Anybody know a way I can get around this?

Are you Active Duty? Because if you are active duty then this is incorrect.

CPL (Join to see) you're four months from ETS and you're just now applying? Lol you need some better planning skills. You don't need to be in your reenlistment window to apply for application MOS's. Even if you get accepted you can't request a class date till you have a TS clearance. Meaning, you might get your acceptance letter and you still can't reenlist for another six or more months. Of course, that "should" change again in October, but you never know with 35L proponent.
Don't worry, you absolutely will not be required to repay your bonus. I've put a lot of people into CI and nobody has ever had to repay a bonus. I hope you are working on a backup plan in case you aren't accepted into 35L. Not to say you aren't a competitive candidate, you just never know exactly what it is they are looking for. I've seen them turn away great candidates and accept mediocre ones, so just have a good back up plan in place

SFC (Join to see) Negative SFC, I've been working on this for over a year. I was having issues with efmp and that just got done. I do have a backup plan.

CPL (Join to see) EFMP??? Wtf? Someone has got you all twisted up. You need to slap whoever told you that you need to fix your EFMP before you can submit your reclass. You don't need to have your EFMP settled for the reclass. You have to have it settled before you come on assignment that you will go TDY enroute to following the training, but not to process the reclass.
If your backup plan is to reenlist to go somewhere else, you should be aware that it takes 1-2 months for HRC to get a response back to you for an EFMP request. If they don't have the spot you ask for, then it's another 1-2 months for the next request.

I can't tell if that's toward me or what? Believe me I'd love to not have to wait. They are charging me almost $14 a day of my bonus back. I'm just looking for info.
