I'd like to start this place where we can get together and share ideas over a bigger medium.
Let's here them!! What are some good ideas you've seen implemented successfully in CPO 365? What things have you done for PT? Volunteer service? Training (inside or outside the curricula)?
Remember, keep it clean, keep it positive!!

The training has been great, several of the things we learned were later on the CPO exam (last year). Hoping it will be like that again this year!
Probably the only thing I don't like is that people think we're taking off/leaving early and get upset when we're trying to do what we're told. MCPON says this is mandatory and it influences our evals if we don't go, but then we turn around and (no disrespect intended) mainly non-enlisted supervisors think we're gaffing off.

SFC,
CPO 365 is a program the Navy created to train First Class Petty Officers in there strides to become a Chief Petty Officer. This includes things such as Tradition, Cohesion/Teamwork, Leadership, and PT. There is a guidance message that comes out every year form the Master Chief Petty Officer of The Navy (MCPON) on things he feels are important. This is the baseline for commands to use, and from there they are allowed to tailor it to there needs. Hope this helps with clarification.
As for my experiences, the program can seem forced if the attendees are not willing to give it a chance. I know at my command, the FCPO's have had a part in tailoring the training to what we feel is important, and this has helped a bit. We also do bonding events such as hikes, compel events, and fundraisers.
