The Air Force had announced TERA as one of the force shaping tools (TERA is the Temporary Early Retirement). I had applied and was turned down as "not eligible"...I did not agree with the reasoning given me, but I am not going to fight the beast. Yesterday, I saw this article... Basically, they are indeffinately placing this program on hold while they re-evaluate the end strength goals that they want..... HUH??!! You mean they actually initiated a program without knowing what the endstate should look like? Tell me it isn't so??!! I can't help it....I get a grin on my face just thinking about it!!

I was IN the Army....they were kicking out nurses in 1997/98....so they would not commission me...that is why I went to the AF!!

Maybe when you left the Army and went to the AF you were hoping that this kind of craziness wasn't DoD wide contagious. No such luck, Sir.

Yes, but has the Army put an indef halt/pause on it? THAT is the part that I find funny.....start the program, but hold it up because they don't really know how much they need to be letting go!
