You can claim just about anything but validating service connection will be the requirement and main hurdle. I have seen several veterans get diagnosed with some variation of anxiety.

Thanks! I am service connected (physical), so should I assume that I can file an additional claim for AD?

Cpl L Ortiz - You can always submit new claims. You aren't limited to your current rating. You can submit your claim and they will schedule an appointment for you. If you aren't sure of what to do or how to do it you can use a VSO or other veteran advocate to submit the claim.

Thanks! Do you know how the VA evaluates Anxiety Disorders? Do you fill out a questionnaire or go see a Physiatrist?

Cpl L Ortiz - When you submit a claim to the VA they will schedule your appointment for the evaluation. With the way things have been going you will most likely have the services outsourced to Veteran Evaluation Services. They will contact you to plan the eval. You will go to the appointment and you will be examined. You will end up talking about your issues for the better part of an hour. After that the findings will be documented and forwarded to the VA for the final determination to be made.

I have seen cases where PTSD was not allowed but anxiety was. To me that is preferable
