Does the army pay for single soldiers to get storage units off post for deployment/rotation? I’m going to korea for only 2 months because I get out in october and just need to store a couple things and my car. I don’t want to schedule house hold goods to get my stuff, store it for 2 months, bring it back to my barracks room for my last month state side just for them to come back and pick up my stuff again to send to my home town for ETS.

You can leave your stuff in storage and have PPO pick up it up from your storage facility. Alternately, you could extend a year, do the rotation, and have more time to transition with some extra money in your pocket.

I had an NCO store her car in a storage unit. I don’t know if that will be an option for you though. If the army was rational all of you deploying soldiers should get a finance brief on your deployment entitlements conus and oconus.

Exactly this.. SPC (Join to see) Youre already in Korea at that point, why the hassle? Extend for a year, pocket the extra, come back & get ready to start clearing. depending on when you leave for Korea & the time at which you extend, you could start clearing within just weeks if not days of getting back. Go get that experience. Everyone ive ever met has hated it as a duty station but absolutely loves it as a rotation.

Talk to your transportation office. Before I deployed they gave us a choice of government storage or personal storage and they will pay you back when you return.
