Does anyone know of any veteran agencies that can help regardless of status? By that, I mean helping a veteran that DOES NOT suffer from PTSD, has a service connected disability or is suffering from some kind of addiction or mental illness.
I've been trying to reach out to a couple of different places, but I'm disqualified for one reason or another. What's the point of having programs for veterans if all of them aren't eligible?
I appreciate any help or information that can be provided. If it helps, the assistance I'm seeking is for help with our utility bill.

Have you had a chance to speak with the VA? Maybe your County Representatives. You should have some great resources right there in your county!

I would also suggest contacting your state representative of veterans affairs.

SSgt Charles Edwards go to this site http://www.va.gov/homeless/ssvf.asp and either call or open the link and look for an organization in your area. This is a list of organizations that have the SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) grant. They can help with thinks like rent, utility bills, etc.
Hope that helps
