Hey so I know that this topic had been asked before but I always get different answers. I leave soon for flight school and have been wondering if my wife(88M) will get orders after WOCS for the remainder of my time there for flight school. We've called her branch(tried warrant branch quite a few times but they have yet to answer their phones) warrant officer recruiting(local and headquarters) and about 2 dozen NCOs and Officers but everyone says something different; can go, wont go, probably won't, probably will. It's driving us crazy as we want to forward amd backwards plan, so I'm hoping someone here has gone through this and will have some incite to how this goes. As of know what I'm tracking is that once I complete WOCS I have to have Warrant branch contact her branch to set it up through MACP.

Your spouse will not receive orders to your WOCS through MACP. MACP does not support Joint Domicile for PCS's for training. Once your training is complete and you are getting ready to be placed on assignment, or when your wife requests to reenlist for a duty location, that's when MACP will be considered for Joint Domicile.

i wouldn't count on it but my very good friend left for WOCS the same month I went SFAS and his wife was in the dental corps. It worked out better for her to ETS and then move to Ft. Rucker as a civilian and work as a DA Civilian on base, that way she could PCS with my friend without issue for the remainder of his 25 year career.

Great question, I don't know the answer but I do know the key factor in the decision will like be Can the Army utilize an 88M here for 2 years? If I were you I would not expect her to be sent here too, but I would try and find out what all units are here and contact them to see if they have MTOE slots for 88M.

If you do get an answer, please post the result on here, I'm sure it will help someone else at some point. Congratulations on selection, cooperate to graduate!

So I would assume so, as they would need drivers to haul the ammo that I assume the apaches use so im not super worried about that.

I will 100% try to remember to update this so that others have a good incite on what to expect!

SGT (Join to see) - Most of the support operations at Ft. Rucker are contract operations so I wouldn't count on that. However, that doesn't mean they won't have a need for an 88M but it is a training command so there are not a lot of support units there.
