Are there any reserve/guard position that you not recommend a woman joining?

Don't be afraid to sound sexist if it is the truth.

If you're not in the Top 10% of females physically, Light Infantry may not be your thing, but if it's what you want go do it.

I looked at your profile and you have a ton of questions that are best suited for a recruiter. I don't know if you haven't done that yet but go speak to recruiters from the branches you are interested in and see what they have to show you. Ask questions and leave no stone unturned. Rally Point is a vast well of knowledge but you need a baseline to start with to see what your questions down the road are.

Absolutely. I would love to meet with a recruiter but I think I may be just a little too young. Do you have to be 18 to meet with one?

Briana Chase No, you can speak to them before you are 18. If you are younger than 17 they won’t spend a ton of time because they are trying to make contracts but you can at least ask questions and get some reading material

I wouldn't recommend taking an MOS which is over 90 percent male. Those MOS's - usually combat arms or combat support - tend to have a "macho" mindset and women are less likely to be welcome. On the other hand, if there is a job that you really want to do - don't let the sexist knuckle draggers keep you from doing it.
