Bob Patrick, who runs the project, says more than half the material comes from World War II veterans, totaling 57,000 records. Thousands more come from veterans who served in the Korean war, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

I keep meaning to do this but then I don't because I hate talking about deployments.

I sympathize .. it took me 40+ years to get to be able to talk about Vietnam.
Hang in there .. the History Project can wait.

Well I should restate that. I don't mind so much when it's with other vets but with a non-vet I hate it because I can't articulate it effectively. To a vet I can say "well you know how it is" and that is all that needed to be said.
