The U.S. will soon be testing hypersonic weapons. Do you think this will raise the risk of inadvertent nuclear warfare?

In an effort to develop a defense mechanism that can reach any target in the world in just an hour, the US Air Force is developing hypersonic weapons, which are currently nearing the testing stage. While the technology is not expected to be fully developed for years, some in the international community are worried about the risks of inadvertent nuclear warfare.

I believe the risk is always going to be there, but we do have to stay ahead in this game regardless.

It will clearly spark an arms race, and perhaps reinvigorate the ABM development, but the risk of nuclear warfare rides upon far more than just technical developments.

I don't believe that it would raise the risk. But reading the article it does sound like some could be confused what they are. We do need to keep up with technology and keep America ahead in the game. But I see the big problem being affordability. Also could that money be spent on better advancements for the Armed Forces.
