Do any Veterans have any info on having a Will written?

I was told by the Local Veterans Rep, That yes having a Will made was one of my Veterans benefits. The Vet Rep got me in contact with a Liaison. Whom referred me to a website that claimed to write Wills on a pro-bono basis. After checking the Qualifications for the service,
I found if a Veteran earned more than $40K per year, then we do not Qualify for the free service. Are there any other options? Reply to [login to see]

I can’think of a single reason that I would involve the VA in my estate planning. I would soone write it on a yello pad. For several years my life expectancy was tomorrow morning. The. Gets everything anyway, it is all joint ant we are sure to keep it that way. I don’t even have any insurance.

I use the JAG Office on post - but I am retired. I do not think that non-retirees have that option, but I could be wrong. If you live anywhere near a base, you may want to check with them and see what their rules are.

They technically don't but occasionally the full time Guard and Reserve JAG offices have assisted Veterans if they're not overloaded with appointments. They usually advise SM's to get a will done before they get out.
