It depends on the location, station, and population. If it's a blue area with money...lots of work and little to show. If the command team/station commander sucks or has preconceived notions of how they think recruiting should be...then long hours.
If the population is welcoming, or he knows how to talk to people and sell, then it'll be pretty good. But there's a lot that goes into it these days, it's not all 15 hour days including weekends. If you don't perform and aren't hitting numbers- you'll work long hours. If you hit the numbers, life is easy.
