I'm shopping for new tennis shoes, but there are so many types these days! Can anyone help or offer a recommendation??

I would always recommend Road Runner Sports.com. They offer a wide variety of running shoes, training shoes, and runner and training apparel. They are reasonably priced and very fast; I got shoes from them in theater, as fast as I got them back home.

As CPT (Join to see) said, go to a running store. They'll help you get fitted properly. Everyone's foot is a "little" different, and depending on how you run, different shoes will feel better or worse for that style.

I go through about 3 pairs a year, just because of mileage, and I can tell you going "cheap." is a bad deal.

Yes. I would go to a running store. I have found it to be difficult to pick a shoe on your own. So many of them say this and that about how awesome they are. If you go to a place like Dick's Sporting Goods they will only know what is on the box. I went to a place where live where they watch you walk barefoot and they they recommend a shoe. After you try it on they tell you to run around the block to see how you like it. I love places like that. There isn't any one shoe that that is great for everyone.
