Since its creation on 20 December 2019 and with a lineage dating back to 1982 as the Air Force Space Command, what do you think about its rollout?

Do you think the Space Force is stalling on the Reserve Component issue of establishing a Space Force Reserve or Space National Guard that's holding thousands of Airmen in limbo?

Or do you think they're still trying to figure themselves out as America's youngest branch of service?

What do you think of their new enlisted rank titles?
E1 - Specialist 1
E2 - Specialist 2
E3 - Specialist 3
E4 - Specialist 4
E5 - Sergeant
E6 - Technical Sergeant
E7 - Master Sergeant
E8 - Senior Master Sergeant
E9 - Chief Master Sergeant
E9* - Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force

What do you think of the proposed rank insignia? Personally I've seen better concept art from non-DOD staff that blows the publicly displayed designs out of the water.

What do you think of the thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines that have requested to be transferred to the Space Force?

Do you think having the Space Force be its own separate branch of service will help streamline issues that people may have experienced with the Air Force?

Will they be able to honor their Air Force lineage and be able separate themselves as an individual branch of service?

I am no expert in this matter but it won't prevent me from stating my opinions. I think the Mission Essential Task List (METL) will be:

- Defend US satellites, space vehicles, assets.
- Attack enemy satellites, space vehicles, assets.
- Intelligence: identify in coming threats, location of the enemy, location of friendly forces, assist in operational planning and the management of operational execution.
- Improve communication and networking to tie in various networks and military assets.
- Assist the accuracy of long range weapons due to the curvature of the earth and counter the enemy in regards to this task. Some of our missiles will probably fly at high altitudes. Some may enter space.
- Create a larger and accurate operating picture.
- Perhaps we can weaponize space vehicles to shoot at targets on earth.
- Space service members will get $200/month for space pay.

Seeing this is a new arm of the military, yes I think they indeed should have their own ranking hierarchy. As does the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy.
Going back to the uniform topic, it could be improved upon. I wore a flight suit most of my career so I’m a believer in them as duty uniforms.
Anyone who doesn’t live in a cave knows how critical it is to our security to have the Space Force. Space is our next frontier whether we like it or not. Being able to outwit our adversaries we need to be on top of our game and not let countries like “China”, in particular, Russia and other countries like North Korea seize this opportunity to become our masters and dissolve this fragile democracy.
And as far a the name? Leave it as it is and leave it up to the “professionals” inclusive of “anyone” up to the task.
It shouldn’t be called Air Force Space Force either. As with “Delta” they have the best of the best to serve their purpose. Including Rangers, Navy Seals, Special Forces just to name a few.

I think that the Airforce ( as the Air Service and then as the Army Air Corps) was around almost 30 years and fought 2 wars before they became a seperate service if you count Space Command as their start....maybe its about time.....people need to get Captian Kirk..and Red Dwarf out of their heads and start taking it seriously.
