Had a recent graduate in the family and they used mostly blanks and did have few live fire experiences with obviously live rounds. Didn’t hear anything about sims/chalk/paintballs etc being used in our conversations

PFC (Join to see) - lol No "clearly" you are not. 11b OSUT is 22 weeks, same as it has been since 2019. Apparently you do not "read and study" that much or you would know this. How about you troll elsewhere armchair. And those old dogs have learned and forgotten more than you ever will, kid. And to correct you, the new generation of "kids" is not getting more funding that ever to train. You go through OSUT the same as millions before you. The training you get there is in a word "basic" and the real training and thereby the real money comes in at the unit level AFTER you graduate OSUT. The amount the military spends on OSUT trainees is rather insignificant by comparison.

Ironic thing is you exemplify the exact crap that you purport to call out SFC Hasbun on. You think you know more than you actually do. You think you are better and smarter when any person with a google app can clearly show you are not.

How about you can the attitude and show respect to those that have the experience and the rank... where you do not. You want to be taken serious and respected? Start there and earn the right. Until then you are a mouth with a body that gets smoked at will.

PFC (Join to see) Good job hiding behind an app and being inevitably disrespectful to people who have in most cases given up their lives for this career. Understand that you are new, and most of the SNCO’s have been in the Army for 15+ years. Does it matter that you have NCO’s in your family? No. There is a certain threshold of respect that has to be met by subordinates and if it isn’t, then there is a problem that can and will be solved expeditiously. Maybe next time, try to utilize the app to address real concerns instead of making yourself look differently in the eyes of millions of people who have the power and influence to change your career with the power of the pen. I’m sure if your NCO’s were to see this, they wouldn’t be happy with you either. Live and learn

SGT (Join to see) - Eh. Realistically, no one is going to hunt down and crush a private for a digital posting.

Like shooting a rocket at a mosquito. Annoying but not worth the effort. He will likely meet his demise for conduct or lack thereof in his unit for something else.

--Also, don't knock my "SGT Rank." I quickly (within 2 years) elevated to GS14-343 shortly after leaving the army (2006) at DOD/OSD and elsewhere.
