Hello all, I'm army reserve for over 10 years I'm changing over to 68C and going to be picking dates for school next year for either March or April. My question is about family coming with me my wife that's pregnant(which we will probably have the baby while in school) and our daughters 2 and 1 years old. Is there anything I should ask for, for orders and the PCS move. I know that Phase 1 and 2 are different locations but anybody got tips on the move? I know school with be a lot but we want to move forward so its a stepping stone to the IPAP program and get a move on since I'm not getting any younger. Any tips on the move, orders, or what to expect with being on post or off post with family?

If you are interested in IPAP, why not just apply to that now?
That program alone is already going to be two PCS moves for your family.

Hey SGM I'm pretty close to the 30 prereqs of what is needed but still need more extra credits to qualify for full 60. I thought this is a good step to get some extra credits and hopefully get enough active time to change my Montgomery gi bill to the post 911 to get school paid for to finish up, just cause school is expensive. And that possibly to get a LVN job till I can apply to IPAP.

SGT (Join to see) - That is a pretty good plan however you will not be able to gain many if any credits towards IPAP while in 68C, so this school will put you back on that goal by at least a year. AD duty benefits will be great for your family however you wont be available to help the wife out much while in school. You will need family or a close friend near-by to help the wife. I dont mean to sound negative to your plan however you are in for a busy year and need to know what is ahead for you and the family. I retired from the Army Nurse Corps three years ago and would do it again but it was busy, fun, and crazy all at the same time.
