While assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany, then known as the

Federal Republic of Germany there was an annual wargame known as REFORGER. Why wouldn't this wargame qualify under VA's "training that simulates war?" This was a real rough two weeks sometimes.

I loved REFORGER and Graf, I always looked forward to those FTXs and war games every year.

To answer your question, because that would mean hundreds of thousands of vets would qualify for more monetary compensations and we all know the VA is continually looking for ways to deny or defer claim abilities for many veterans. Just like they did to the VN vets, put it off long enough and 80-90% of them will be dead and you don't have to pay out.

SFC Baber, I think the VA has this backlog as they call it hoping that these vets will die off before they can award a claim.I even noticed a similarity with Social Security but you don't have to wait on them no two to four years. Thank you for your input. I was in the 3rd ID in both Schweinfurt and Wurzburg and loved it too.

I did duties with the 287th MPs and the 300th MPs while stationed there, I spent time at Giessen and Baumholder during my time there.
