Scientists have discovered a way to "grow" meat. Is laboratory-grown meat something you'd be willing to try?

Professor Mark Post, who is part of the faculty at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, has been asking that question for almost a decade now. Two years ago, Post's team of researchers presented their first major discovery in the form of a five-ounce hamburger patty, which was created in a lab, but still was remarkably similar to ones sold on supermarket shelves. The reception was promising: The media was abuzz, and the BBC made several food critics try it, one of whom conceded "this is meat to me, it's not falling apart."

I want my meat grown on four hoofs. The "global impact" of eating meat is another lefty sponsored, PETA endorsed approach to getting rid of meat. They don't like animals being killed to get meat. I don't want to eat meat grown in an olympic sized pool.
What could go wrong? Will we learn 20 years after we go down this path that it is unhealthy and is killing us? Didn't Doctor Evil come from the Netherlands too? You can't trust those Dutch mad scientists. Meat from a petrie dish, yuck.

I have 3 laboratory grown children (in vitro fertilization) and they didn't turn out too bad so how bad can the meat be?
